Let tension between the blocks is T
here you can see F_1>F_2 hence , net force acts in right direction.

for block of mass 2 kg,
T-F_2=2a
T - 10 = 2a.........(1)

for block of mass 4kg,
F_1-T=4a
20 - T = 4a.......(2)

solve equations (1) and (2),
10 = 6a => a = 5/3 m/s²

so,from equation (1), T = 10 + 10/3 = 40/3 N

hence, option (b) is correct.

20-T=4a. (2)

Equation(1)-(2)

20-10=6a

6a=10

a=10/6=5/3

Putting the value of "a" in equation (1)

T-10=2(5/3)

T-10=10/3

T=10+10/3

T=30+10/3

T=40/3ans.
