Volume of metal needed = (volume of full pipe) - (volume of inner cylinder)

Diameter of pipe = 12 + 2 = 14 cm
=> radius of pipe = R = 7 cm

Radius of inner cylinder = r = 12/2 = 6 cm

Length of pipe = 100cm

=> volume of metal = pi * R^2 * h - pi * r^2 * h
= pi * h (R^2 - r^2)
= (22/7) * 100 * (7^2 - 6^2)
= 4085.71 cm^3
