The tires of vehicles are made rough. Why?

For a better friction...As rough surface oppose the motion better Hence it's surface are made rough

The tire of vehicles are made rough to increase friction. Thus is so because if their is friction between the tyre and the road then their are less chances of vehicle slipping on the road. It also becomes easy to apply brakes. This is the reason why tyres of vehicles are made rough.
