Skin - this is the tissue that perceives stimuli from the environment (external environment of an organism, that is).

Stimuli- is any change that occurs in the environment that can be detected. Stimuli include light, pH, and heat among many others.

Skin is an organ that is endowed with many receptors. A receptor is an organ or cell that can detect a stimuli and respond to it by sending chemical signals in form of impulses via sensory neurons to the Central nervous System.

Skin is the tissue that perceives stimuli from the environment. Stimulus causes a reaction in an organ or cell. It can be due to both internal and external factors. Sense organs, such as the ear, and sensory receptors, like to as those in the skin, are sensitive to external stimuli such as sound and touch. Stimulus normally elicits or influences a reflex via stimulus transduction.
