The famous writer Premchand said, "The tongue does not get chopped on speaking but the hands do get chopped on writing."

According to him writing is relatively more complex and demanding than speech. It is possible to correct ourselves on the spot while speaking and avoid a misunderstanding. But this facility is not available for the written language.
