Here this question can be solved by Pythagoras theorem . As we know wall is always perpendicular to the ground .so it makes 90° angle.

Answer is 25 m

The length of the ladder is 25 m

Explanation:

Given that the top end of the ladder touches the wall of a building at a height of 24 m and the other end of the ladder touches the ground 7 m away from the wall of the building.

We need to determine the length of the ladder.

Let AB denote the height of the building and AB=24

Let BC denote the distance of the ladder from the building and BC=7

Let AC denote the length of the ladder.

Using the Pythagorean theorem, we have,

AB^2+BC^2=AC^2

     24^2+7^2=AC^2

     576+49=AC^2

             625=AC^2

               25=AC

Thus, the length of the ladder is 25 m
