Answer:

The top of the table is shown above and the measure of the table is given as 2 m 25 cm by 1m 20 cm. Then we have to find out the area of the table. Now as we know that 1 cm = 1100 m. So length (L) = (2+25100)=2.25 m.

The answer is 2.46m²

GIVEN

Dimension of the table top = 2m 5cm × 1 m 20cm

TO FIND

The area of the table top.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

It is given that,

Dimension of the table top = 2m and 5cm × 1 m and 20 cm

Length of the table top = 2 meters and 5 cm

Converting 5 cm to meters

5 cm = 0.05 m

Length = 2 + 0.05 = 2.05 meters

Breath = 1 meter and 20 cm

Converting 20 cm to meters

20 cm = 0.2 meters

Breath = 1 + 0.2 = 1.2 meters

Area of table top = L × B

= 2.05 × 1.2

= 2.46 m²

Hence, The answer is 2.46m²
