Let the cost of table be x and cost of chair be y.
.: 3x+2y=575 —(equation 1)
y=x-25
.: x-y= -25 —(equation 2)
Multiply equation2 by 3, we get
3x-3y= - 75 —(equation 3)
Subtracting equation 3 from equation 1,
.:0x+5y=650
.: y=130
Since,y=x-25
x=130+25
x=155
.: 3x+2y=575 —(equation 1)
y=x-25
.: x-y= -25 —(equation 2)

Subtracting equation 3 from equation 1,
