Find out the  price of each table and chairs.

To prove

Let us assume that the cost of a chair be x.

As given

The total cost of 5 tables and 2 chairs is ₹990.

If a table costs ₹30 more than a chair.

Let us assume that the cost of a table = 30 + x

Than the equation becomes

( 30 + x  )× 5 + 2 × x = 990

150 + 5x +2x = 990

7x = 990 - 150

7x = 840

$x = \frac{840}{7}$

x = ₹120

Table cost = 30 + 120

                = ₹150

Therefore the cost of a table is  ₹150 and the cost of a chair is  ₹120 .
