To find: Total electric flux through a closed surface containing a unit positive charge.

Given: Value of charge

Solution:

  • The solution to this problem was given by Gauss Law.
  • Consider a closed surface containing charge q, the total electric flux coming out from this closed surface containing is given by Gauss law as: total charge enclosed by surface/epsilon

The numerical value of epsilon is =8.85×10^{-12}

Φ=q/epsilon

Φ=1.6×10^{-19}/8.85×10^{-12}

Φ=1.8×10^{6} weber

Hence the total electric flux coming out as a consequence of gauss law was found out to be=1.8×10^{6} weber.
