Total population = 3540
Number of males = 2065
Number of females = 3540 - 2065 = 1475

Now the ratio of males to females = 2065 : 1475 = 413:295

Solution:

the total population of a village   = 3540

Males  = 2065

Females   = Total Population - Males

=> Females = 3540 - 2065

=> Females = 1475

ratio of male to female.

=   2065 :  1475

=   413  :  295

= 59 * 7  :  59  * 5

=   7  : 5

ratio of male to female.   is 7 : 5
