Solution :

We have Provided with total Surface area of a Cylinder is 2464 sq cm and the height of the Cylinder is equal to radius of the cylinder . We asked for finding the radius of base of the Cylinder

Let the Height and radius of the Cylinder be x

We Know that ,

Total Surface area of a Cylinder = 2\pi r(r+h)

Substituting the Values in the formula :

⇒ 2 * (22/7) * x ( x + x )

⇒ (44/7) * x ( x + x )

⇒(44/7) * 2x^2

⇒ 14 cm

Therefore , the radius of the base of Cylinder is equal to 14 cm

According to the Question

Height = Radius

Total Surface Area of Cylinder = 2πR(R +H)

Substitute the values which is provided by the Question

\bf\huge{\implies 2465 cm^2 = 4\times \dfrac{22}{7}\times R^2}

\bf\huge{\implies R^2 = 2464\times \dfrac{7}{88}}

\bf\huge{\implies R^2 = 196}

\bf\huge{\implies R = 14}
