To find :-

Formula to be used :-

  • Time = Distance / Speed

Solution :-

  • Actual distance = 130 + 270

= 400m

By multiplying 5/18, convert it into m/sec

➞ Speed = 80 × 5/18 m/sec

➞ Speed = 400/18 m/sec

We have the formula,

Time = Distance / Speed

➞ Time = 400 / 400/18 sec

➞ Time = 400 × 18/400 sec

➞ Time = 18 sec

Time taken to cross platform 130m long = 18 sec
