The train has broken the train limit.

GIVEN

Distance traveled by train = 576 km

Time traveled = 6 hours.

Maximum speed assigned to the train = 90km/hr

TO FIND

If the train has broken the speed limit.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows-

Distance traveled by train = 567 km

Time taken by the train to cover the distance = 6 hours.

Speed of the train -

speed \:  =  \frac{distane \: }{time}

Putting the values in the above formula we get,

Speed = 576/6

= 96 km/ hr

Now,

90km/hr <96 km/hr

We can observe that the speed of the train is greater than the maximum speed assigned to the train.

Therefore, The train has broken the train limit.
