circumference of a cylinder = 2 π R  =  176 cm
Length of trunk = 3 meters = 300 cm

Radius of the cylindrical shape of the trunk of tree = R = 176 /2 π

   R = 28.01 cm

Volume of the tree trunk is =  Area of cross section * Length of the trunk

             =  π R² * L  = π * 28.01² * 300  cm³

           = 739497.52 cm³

           = 0.739 meter³

consider the radius of cylindrical tree's trunk = r cm
Given,
          circumference of trunk = 176 cm
 or,  2 \pi r=176
or,  r = 176/2 \pi
or,  r=176*7/44 = 28 cm
volume of timber =  \pi  r^{2} h= \frac{22}{7} . 28^{2} .300
volume=739200  cm^{3}  =0.7392 m^{3}
