the two extremes of a proportion are 25 and 36. if one of the means is 45, find the other term

Let unknown mean be x

25:45 :: x:36
25×36 :: 45×x
900::45x
x=900/45
=30

Therefore another mean = 30

25:45::x:36

as we know...... Product of mean = product of extreame

45×x = 36 × 25
45x = 900
x = 900/ 45
x = 20
