Also, O∈ AB

Such that, OB = CD and OC = BD,

We have,

AB = 15 m

CD = 7.5 m

BD = 18 m

⇒ OB = 7.5 m and OC = 18 m

⇒ AB - AO = 7.5

⇒ 15 - AO = 7.5

⇒ AO = 15 - 7.5 = 7.5 m

In triangle AOC,

Using Pythagoras theorem,

AC=\sqrt{AO^2+OC^2}

=\sqrt{7.5^2 + 18^2}

=\sqrt{56.25+ 324}

=\sqrt{380.25}

= 19.5 meters
