Ello user !!!!!!!!

Here is your answer,

=========================================

In the helical structure of DNA, the two strands are held together by hydrogen bonds between specific pairs of bases.

Cytosine forms hydrogen bond with guanine, while adenine forms hydrogen bond with thymine.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOUU :)

A dna molecule is conprised of many nucleotides. Each nucleotudes has 3 comonents : a nitrogen base

a ribose sugar molecule

phosphate

Each nitrogen base is joined to the ribose molecule on the inside and binds to the nitrogen base of the complementary strand.

If the two strands of dna had been identical, the nitrogen bases would've been identical too and hence would've not been able to bind the dna stands together. The complementary nitrogen bases can pair and hence the two dna strands bind together as the nitrogen bases bind
