The tyres of vechiles are heavy and broad.why?

Heavy vehicles often carry heavy loads which exerts more force on the tyres and due to these reason the tyre should be such that it can handle the force exerted by such a heavy vehicle . For this purpose the tyres of heavy vehicles are made broad ;the broader the tyres ensure that the pressure exert on them is less. This is because the pressure of heavy vehicle on the tyre gets distributed over a wider surface of the tyre as a result the pressure that it experiences is comparatively less and Hence due to this reason the tyres of heavy vehicles are broad to ensure no damage to the vehicle
