I would prefer to walk on white squares because white colour reflect light so it gives cooling effect where as black colour absorbs the light so it becomes very hot.

The white colored squares. This especially so if you are walking barefoot. The black colored squares absorb more of the sun's heat and will be hotter. Hence one would prefer to walk on the white squares.
