Work done by friction = μ × (reaction) × distance 0 + μ(mgcosθ) × (L/2)

= μ(mgcosθ) × (L/2)

Now, work done = change in KE

mgLsinθ = μ(mgcosθ) × (L/2)

⇒tanθ = μ/2

∴μ = 2tanθ.
