Pythagorean Theorem,

is ( Hypotenuse)^2= (base)^2+ (height)^2

"square on the hypotenuse of a right-angled triangle is equal in area to the sum of the squares on the other two sides"

For Eg:

a2 + b2 = c2 then; For an acute triangle, c2< a2 + b2, where, c is the side opposite the acute angle. For a right triangle, c2= a2 + b2, where c is the side the 90-degree angle. For an obtuse triangle, c2> a2 + b2, where c is the side opposite the obtuse angle.
