US intervention in Vietnam proved costly to both US and Vietnam:

As the United States Intervention be recalled, the intervention to Vietnam was recalled as costliest due to the damage sufferings for both United States as well as the Vietnam.

The bombings done for the intervention of United States into Vietnam caused damages to the soldiers of United States itself as they harmed many of their own soldiers with even fatalities caused. The Vietnam was damaged due to the trail named as Ho-chi-Minh was destroyed by the United States.
