The entry of US into the war marked a new phase that proved costly to both Vietnamese as well as to Americans.Over 3,403,100 US personal served in Vietnam.Even though they were really advanced and had many equipments the casualties were really high. Many Us troops arrived with heavy weapons. The participation of US was questioned by the US media and also the youth of the country was forced to fight in the battle which caused a rise of anger in the US as the people selected were only from the poor and working class and not from the elites. The struggle with US was very brutal for Vietnam as they were attacked with many chemical weapons such as Agent Orange,Napalm and phosphorus bombs destroying many villages and decimated forest it also resulted in the death of many civilians .
