During first world war , USA hepled Britain , France for armaments.

USA feared that if Germany won the war , it would become a bitter rival of USA.

And , German U-Boats sank a British ship , LUSITANIA.

1153 passengers died out of which 128 were Americans.

This arose Anti - German feelings in USA and this was the reason USA joined the war.
