Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN:

 \frac{4}{x} + 3y = 8 \\  \frac{6}{x} - 4y =  - 5

let, 1/x = z

4z + 3y = 8

=> 4z = 8-3y

=> z = 8-3y/4 -----(1)

6z - 4y = -5

=> 6(8-3y/4) - 4y = -5

=>

 \frac{24 - 9y - 8y}{2}  =  - 5

=> 17y = 34

=> y = 2

By substituting the value of "y" in eq(1)

z = 8 - 3(2)/4

z = 1/2

=> 1/x = 1/2

=> x = 2
