We have to consider the RHS from right to left.

⇒  Square root of 169 is 13.

⇒  36 added to the square root of 169 means 36 added to 13, which is 49.

⇒  The square root of this 49, i.e., 7, should be added to 3018 to get 3025.

⇒  The square root of 3025 is 55.

Got that 55 is the value of x.

The value of √289 - √121

Note that both 121 and 289 are perfect fractions:-  121 = 11^2 and 289 = 17^2.

Thus,

121         11^2

------- = ---------- = (11/17)^2.

289        17^2  

The square root of this is merely 11/17.

So, 17 -11 = 6
