The coincident lines are given as,

3x + 4y + 2 = 0

And

9x + 12y + k = 0

Comparing the equations with the general

equations a₁x + b₁y+c₁ = 0

a2x + b₂y + C₂ = 0

Then,

a₁ = 3, b₁ = 4, c₁ = 2, a₂ = 9, b₂ = 12, c₂ = k

Since, the lines are coincident, then,

a1 b₁ C1

a2 b₂ C₂

3 4 2

9 12 k

1 3 1 3 2 k

1 3 2 k

k = 6

HEY MATE YOUR ANSWER IS HERE ^_^

BY MULTIPLYING BY 2 IN EQUATION 1

12x + 16y = 10 = k

5k = 5*10 = 50
