To find: The value of 5 ÷ (–1) does not lie between ?

Solution:

  • Now the correct option are :

                  (a) 0 and – 10 (b) 0 and 10 (c) – 4 and – 15 (d) – 6 and 6

  • The given term is:

                  6 ÷ (-1) = 6/-1

  • Shifting the negative sign in numerator, we get:

                  -6/1 = -6

  • Now we can see that -6 lies in (a) 0 and – 10,  (c) – 4 and – 15 (d) – 6 and 6 but do not lies in (b) 0 and 10.

Answer:
