The value of ‘g’ on Earth is 9.81 m.s-2. On Mars it is 1/3 that on Earth. An object is dropped from a height of 6.54 m above the surface of Mars. Then (i) Find the velocity with which it hits the ground of Mars. (ii) If the same object is thrown vertically upward from Earth surface with the velocity with which it hits the surface of Mars( as found in the previous question), find the greatest height attained by the object.
