The value of k is not equal to 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Equation kx-y=2,6x-2y=3

To find : The value of k for which the pair of equations has a unique solution ?

Solution :

When the system of equation is in form ax+by+c=0, dx+ey+f=0 then the condition for unique solutions is

\frac{a}{d}\neq\frac{b}{e}

On comparing, a=k, b=-1, c=-2, d=6, e=-2, f=-3

Substituting the values,

\frac{k}{6}\neq \frac{-1}{-2}

\frac{k}{6}\neq \frac{1}{2}

k\neq \frac{6}{2}

k\neq3

Therefore, The value of k is not equal to 3.
