5x² - 6x - 2 = 0

Dividing it by 5  we get 

x² - 6x/5 - 2/5 = 0

Adding and subtracting  (3/5)²

x² - 6x/5 + 9/25 - 2/5 - 9/25 = 0

(x - 3/5)² = 9/25 +2/5

(x - 3/5)² = 19/25

x -3/5 = √19/√25


x -3/5 = +√19/5 or - √19/5

x = +√19/5 + 3/5  or -√19/5 + 3/5 

x = +√19 + 3/5 or -√19 + 3/5
