The value of x and y in the equation ax + by =a + b, 2ax + 2by = 2

Answer:

If you write eqns as a1x + b1y + c1=0 and a2x + b2y + c2 =0

Then you find a1/a2 = b1/b2 not= c1/c2

1/2 = 1/2 not=(a+b)/2

So pair of eqns is inconsistent

They are parallel

There is no solution
