The value of x and y in the given equations 2x+3y=13, x-y=4​

from (2)... x=4+y........(3)

substitute (3) at (1)...

therefore, 2(4+y)+3y=13

8+2y+3y=13

8+5y =13

5y=13-8

5y=5

y=5÷5

substitute y value at (2)

x-1=4

x=5

so,x=5

y=1
