4x+3=19

or it can also be written as,

4x = 19-3

or,

4x = 16

or,

x = 16/4

or,

x = 4

Therefore x = 4

Lets check :

putting x = 4

4 × 4 + 3 = 19

hence its checked

Answer :-

  • The value of x in the equation 4x + 3 = 19 is 4.

Step-by-step explanation :-

 \sf Q) \: 4x + 3 = 19

  • Transposing 3 from LHS to RHS, changing it's sign,

 \sf\Rightarrow4x = 19 - 3

  • On simplifying,

 \sf\Rightarrow4x = 16

  • Transposing 4 from LHS to RHS, changing it's sign,

 \sf\Rightarrow x =  \dfrac{16}{4}

  • Dividing 16 by 4,

 \sf\Rightarrow x =  4.

  • The value of x = 4.

Verification :-

To check our answer, let's put 4 in place of x and see whether LHS = RHS.

LHS

  \tt\implies4 \times 4 + 3

Applying the BODMAS rule and multiplying 4 by 4 first,

 \tt\implies16 + 3

Adding 3 to 16,

  \tt\implies19.

RHS

  \tt\implies19.

Since LHS = RHS,

Hence verified!
