Answer:

-14.4

Step-by-step explanation:

2x/3 - 7 = 3x/2 + 5

2x/3 - 3x/2 = 5 + 7

(4x-9x)/6 = 12

-5x = 72

x = 72/-5

∴ x = -14.4

( 2x / 3 ) - 7 = ( 3x /2 ) + 5

LCM of 2,3: 2x3 = 6

  • 2x (x) 2 /  3x2 - 3x (x) 3 / 2x3
  • = 4x/6 - 7 =  9x/6 + 5
  • Transpose 9 to LHS,  -7 to RHS
  • = (4x - 9x )/6=  5+7
  • -5x / 6 = 12
  • Transpose 6 to RHS
  • -5x = 12 x 6 = 72
  • -5x =72
  • Transpose  -5 to RHS
  • x  = 72/-5

Hope it helps u!
