The three terms : -2/7 , x and - 7/2 are in GP. Then what is x?

Let us check the common ratios between T2 and T1 and between T3 and T2.

Between T2 and T1: r = x/(-2/7) or -7x/2

Between T3 and T2: r = (- 7/2)/x or -7/2x.

Since r must be the same between T2 and T1 and between T3 and T2,

-7x/2 = -7/2x, or x = 1.
