Answer:

y = 21

Step-by-step explanation:

The variable y varies directly to x

which means

y ∝ x

changing sign of proportionality to equality

so

y = kx                                       ...............(i)

where k is constant of proportionality

From the table

x= 2 and y= 3

put these value in equation (i)

to find value of k

y = kx

put values

3 = 2*k

k= \frac{3}{2}                      ..................(ii)

Now given is

x=14 to find value of y= ?

putting value of x and k in equation (i)

y= 14 *  \frac{3}{2}

y = 7 * 3

y = 21
