The velocity of a golf ball rolling in a straight line changes from 8 m/s to 2 m/s in 10 s. What is its deceleration, assuming that it is decelerating uniformly ?

acceleration = v-u/ t

= 8-2/10

a = 0.6 m/s

deceleration = - acceleration

deceleration = - 0.6 m/s
