The velocity time graph of a ball moving on the surface of floor is in figure calculate force acting on ball if mass of ball is 20 g.

From graph

Initial velocity = u = 0

Final velocity = v = 20 m/s

Time taken = 4 seconds

acceleration = (v - u) /t

Therefore  a = 20 - 0 / 4 = 5

Acceleration = 5 m/s^2

Force = ma (Second law of motion)

m = 20 g

Force = 20 x 5 = 100 g m s^-2 or 0.1 N
