Distance = Total Area of velocity time graph
= (0.5 × 2.5 × 2) + (0.5 × 2.5 × 1) + (5 × 1)
= 8.75 m
Displacement = +ve Area of vt graph - (-ve area of vt graph)
= [(0.5 × 2.5 × 2)] - [(0.5 × 2.5 × 1) + (5 × 1)]
= -3.75 m
= (0.5 × 2.5 × 2) + (0.5 × 2.5 × 1) + (5 × 1)
= 8.75 m
