The velocity-time graph of an object of mass m = 50 g is shown in figure.

(i) The force on the object in time interval 0 to 3 s.

(a) 2N (b) 1N (c) 4N (d) 3N

(ii) The force on the object in the time interval 6 to 10 s.

(a) 1.5N (b) 1N (c) -1.5N (d) -1N

(iii) Calculate the force on the object in the time interval 3 to 6 s.

(a) 3N (b) 1N (c) zero (d) 4N

(iv) The acceleration of the body from 0 to 3 s.

(a) 40m/s2

(b) 20m/s2

(c) 10m/s2

(d) 4m/s2

(v) The acceleration of the body from 6 to 10 s.

(a) 40m/s2

(b) 30m/s2

(c) -30m/s2

(d) -40m/s2

(i) F = ma = 0.05kg*40m/s² = 2N

(ii) -1.5N

(iii) zero

(iv) a = (v-u)/t = (120-0)/3 = 40m/s²

(v) -30m/s²
