let the base angles ( equal angles) be x and x
vertical angle = 100°
so, x+x+100= 180° [sum of angles of a triangle is 180°]
or 2x + 100= 180
or 2x= 180-100
or 2x= 80
or x = 80/2= 40°
so the base angles are 40°
