The vertical angle of an isosceles triangle is 100 . find its base angles.

So....
vertical angle =100°

by angle sum property
100+x+x=180° (2 angles of an isoceles triangle are equal)

2x=(180-100)°
x=40°

here's ur answer...

the vertical angle of the isosceles triangle is 100°.

we know that there are two sides which have equal length and angle in an isosceles triangle.

if the vertical angle is 100° then the both base angles will have equal angles.

by angle sum property:-

let the three angles be a, b and c.

b = c

=> a+b+c = 180°

=> 100+2b = 180°

=> 2b = 180-100

=> 2b = 80°

=> b = 80/2

=> b = 40°

hence the base angles of the isosceles triangle are 40° each.
