The volcanic material in some cases erupts and flows outside whereas in some cases, it seeps beneath the earth due to the presence of cracks. Explanation: When the volcano erupts with force, some of the volcanic material blow out with eruption and flows out to find its course.

this is because of combination of factors like weather, the lava is viscous acid lave or free flowing basic lava. it also also needs enough intensity of heat and pressure to be able to come up to the earth surface. at the same time the volcanic material will only be able to reach the surface when it finds a weak crustal plate.
