Given:- 1M hcl dissolve 10g of calcium carbonate

To find:- The volume of 1M hcl needed to dissolve 10g of calcium carbonate

Solution:- According to the question,

Let a moles of CaCO3 present in 10gm of mixture

So a × 100 = 10 or, a= 0.01 mole

so,

M.l eq of HCl = M.l eq of CaCO3

or, 1×V×1 = 2×0.01×1000

or, V = 20 ml

So, 20 ml of 1M hcl needed to dissolve 10g of calcium carbonate
