the volume of 50 gm of substance is 20 cm ^3 . If the density of water is 1 gm /cm^3 will the substance float or sink.......
guys i need with steps

concept:if an object weighs more than an equal volume of water, it is more dense and will sink, and if it weighs less than an equal volume of water, it is less dense and will float. Remember that the density of water is about 1 g/cm^3....

density(ρ)=mass/volume

ρ=50 gm/20 cm^3

ρ=5/2 gm/cm^3

ρ=2.5 gm/cm^3
