Answer:

Given:-

  • The volume of a 500 g sealed packet is 350 cm°. Will the packet float or sink in water if the density of water is 18 cm ? What will be the mass of the water displaced by this packet?

Solution:-

\sf\red{density \: of \: packet \:  =  \frac{mass \: of \: packet}{volume \: of \: packet} }

\huge\sf\red{ =  \frac{500}{300} }

\sf\red{ = 1.428 {cm}^{3} }

And, density of water = 1cm³

•°•The packet will sink in water..

Mass of water displaced by packet = Volume of the packet

\huge\sf\red{ = 350g}

•°•Mass of water displaced is 350 g.

hope it helps

Answer

density \: of \: packet =  \:  \frac{mass \: of \: packet}{volume \: of \: packet}

 =   \frac{500}{300}  \\  { = 1.428 {cm}^{3} } \\

And, density of water = 1cm³

∴The packet will sink in water.

Mass of water displaced by packet = Volume of the packet

= 350 Gram.

∴ Mass of the water displaced by this packet =350g
