the volume of cube =a^3
729=a^3
a=9cm

Answer:

(i) side = 9 cm

(ii) side =  20 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

(i) we know that : volume of a cube = a₁×a₁×a₁ or a₁³ where a₁ is the side of the cube

here we have

=> a₁³ = 729

=> a₁ = ∛729

∴ a₁ = 9 cm

(ii) we know that : area of a square = a₂ × a₂ or a₂² where a is the side of the square

here we have

=> a₂² = 400

=> a₂ = √400

=> a₂ = 20 ft
