The volume of a given gas in a container is 100 ml at 760 mm.calculate the pressure at which the gas would occupy the 80 ml .temp remaining constant

760(100-x)=1000(80-X)

or,76000-760x=80000-1000x

or,240x=4000

or,x=4000/240

or,x=16.67(approximately)

so the place occupied by the marbles is=16.67(approximately)
